Trustab NGTerms of Service
Trustab NG is not a bank, lender, money-transmitter, or payment processor. We do not hold funds, move money, or process payments. The app is a record-keeping and reputation tool for informal agreements between people. It is free to use, with no fees or subscriptions.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Trustab NG, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use Trustab NG.
3. What Trustab NG does
- IOUs: you record informal "I owe you" agreements between you and another person. Trustab is only a record of what you and the other party enter — we are not a party to your agreement and do not guarantee, collect, or enforce repayment.
- Shared Pots: you split and track recurring shared bills with people you invite. Trustab tracks balances; it does not move money.
- Trust Score: an informational score computed from your activity (records you keep, on-time settlements, confirmations, and optional identity verification). It is not a credit score issued by a credit bureau, and we do not guarantee that any lender, landlord, or other party will accept or act on it.
- Shareable credential: you may choose to share your score or a verifiable credential with a third party. You control what you share and can revoke it.
4. Your account & responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep your device and account secure.
- Only record agreements that are real and that you have a genuine basis to record.
- Only add a person to an IOU or Pot where it's appropriate to do so.
- You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Trustab NG to defraud, harass, or mislead anyone; to create false records; to send unwanted or abusive reminders; or to break any law. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.
6. No fees
Trustab NG is currently free. We do not charge fees, sell subscriptions, or offer in-app purchases. If this ever changes, we'll tell you in advance and ask for your agreement.
7. Third-party services
We rely on providers including Supabase (hosting), Twilio (verification & messaging), Dojah / Smile Identity / Onfido (identity verification), and Apple and Google (push notifications). Your use of features that depend on them is also subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the Trust Score will be accepted by any third party, that records are error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted. You are responsible for resolving the underlying agreements you record with the other party.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trustab NG is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any amounts owed between you and another user. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination & deletion
You can stop using Trustab NG and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account, or see trustabng.com/delete-account.html). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the "Last updated" date and highlight material changes in the app.
